As a nurse in the mental health field for nearly 20 years, I pride myself as a patient, empathic and introspective practitioner who views clients in a holistic manner. In the role of a board certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am independently licensed to prescribe psychopharmacological medication and provide psychotherapy. My work with clients is a team effort where we collaborate together to find optimal solutions to mental health issues and come up with a treatment plan that encompasses all aspects of a client's life. I work with clients who experience PTSD (combat-related, sexual/emotional abuse, military sexual trauma), depression, anxiety/panic, and mood lability.

As an EMDR trained practitioner, I have witnessed the positive effect EMDR has had on my clients in relieving PTSD symptoms and in turn allow clients to move beyond traumas and live deeply meaningful lives. As a judicious and conscientious prescriber of medication, I feel, when indicated, medication can serve as a useful purpose in providing assistance to clients.

As an out-of network provider, I am happy to guide clients on ways to maximize their mental health benefits. Insurance accepted: Anthem and Healthy CT.
